MEASUREMENTS: Target is 12.5mm in diameter.
Rose-cut Diamonds measure approx. 1mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.10ct combined.
Rubies measure 1.5 x 1.5mm, weighing approx 0.20ct combined.
Ring band is 1.5mm wide at the back.
WEIGHT: 2.7g

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Platinum settings, Old Mine cut Diamond, Rose-cut Diamonds (0.10ct), Calibre-cut Ruby (0.20ct)

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: Gemstones are bright and well-matched, with no obvious chips or losses under close inspection; the Old Mine cut centre and Rose-cut halo present crisp sparkle, and the Rubies show rich colour. The setting is secure with fine millegrain intact and only light surface wear and gentle patina commensurate with age; the shank remains even and well-formed. No apparent resizing or restoration marks are visible, indicating the ring has been carefully preserved.
