Black Opal measures 12.5mm long x 9mm wide, weighing apporx. 2.65ct.
Band is 1mm wide at the back.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct White Gold, Platinum claw settings, Natural Solid Black Opal (2.65ct).

STAMPS: 18CT.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The Black Opal is bright and lustrous with no chips or visible abrasions. The Platinum claws and 18ct White Gold setting are secure with only minimal surface wear commensurate with age. The shank remains neatly shaped with no notable thinning, indicating careful past wear.
