This 18th Century Georgian red Paste Riviere necklace is a glorious testimony to the era from which she was created! Each masterfully cut Paste gemstone holds the key to our hearts, with their the deep red tones, sultry and seductive, shimmering beautifully as they catch the light!

The Pinchbeck looks stunning against the blood-red gems and will rest elegantly across your clavicle, perfectly accentuating your neckline. Giving you the option to wear her either way around, you could turn this necklace over and display a row of smooth domes instead!

ERA: Georgian, c.1770.

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 17" or 43cm long.
Paste stones graduate from 8.5mm long x 6.5mm wide to 10.5mm long x 8.5mm wide.
Weight: 34g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Pinchbeck, 9ct Gold foxtail link, Red Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This 18th Century Georgian red Paste Riviere necklace is in very good antique condition. We just cannot believe how old she is! Of course, something so rare and over 250 years old is not ideal for everyday wear. We recommend that you keep this precious piece away from moisture, chemicals, and perfume to ensure she is kept looking her best for future generations. Her Paste and Pinchbeck is well preserved, with some age-related wear to her, especially at the back of the necklace - however, this is not visible during wear. Joined together with a 9ct Gold foxtail chain, you can secure her using the dog-clip clasp - you will never want to take her off!
