This Georgian Garnet cluster pendant is full of antique charm!

Crafted from Gold-toned metal, this Queen Anne pendant features gorgeous Garnets, each with a rich plum hue. She is adorned with classically Georgian settings, crafted meticulously in the early 1700s, circa 1710.

Flat-cut Garnets were 'de rigueur' during the Georgian era, with their larger facets allowing the gems to catch the light in lower lighting conditions, and this exquisite pendant is certainly a fine example!

ERA: Georgian, c.1710.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 27mm long x 24mm wide.
Garnets graduate from 2.5mm to 4mm in diameter, weighing approx. 3.65ct combined.
Weight: 4.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Gold-toned metal, Garnets (3.65ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

状態

VERY GOOD: This Georgian pendant is in very good condition for a piece of its age. The Garnets have a gorgeous variation in hue and remain securely set. The pendant does show signs of wear, being over 200 years old, including some small chips to the Garnets and wear on the settings, which can be seen in the photos and is in keeping with its age. Starting life as a brooch, this piece has at some point been converted into this highly wearable pendant. The evidence of the conversion is not visible looking front on and does not affect the comfortability of the pendant. With bundles of antique character to be admired, this Georgian Garnet pendant is ready to be worn and enjoyed!
