This is an immaculately presented 18th-century Georgian 18ct Gold Garnet Diamond half-hoop ring! This Georgian ring, made circa 1790, is plucked from one of the prettiest periods when designs were smooth, flowing and whimsical.

The Garnet has a delicious berry red hue, hugged by a sparkling selection of table-cut and old-mine-cut Diamonds. The piece has piecrust settings, c-curl flourishes and a ridged closed dome back that are so typical of the time, her beauty is timeless! This rare Georgian delight is sure to be added straight to your basket.

Garnet is 7mm long x 6mm wide.
Ring band is 2mm wide.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Silver Diamond settings, Flat-Cut Garnet, Table Cut & Old-Mine cut Diamonds.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your ring will be shipped in a luxury velvet Lillicoco presentation box.

Condition

EXCELLENT. This 18th-century Georgian 18ct Gold Garnet Diamond half-hoop ring is in excellent condition. The gemstones are all secure in their settings and have kept beautifully in their closed domed backs. The shank is original to the piece and remains well rounded and feels smooth against the skin. The only wear to note is the back of the Diamond settings, on one side, have worn down slightly, but with the correct gentle care, you can enjoy this rare antique ring for many more years to come!
