This antique 18ct Gold Pearl Garnet fly pendant is a must-have if you're a lover of Victorian symbolism! The Victorians adored and appreciated insects for their mysterious allure and beauty, and its actually quite uncommon to come across such pieces.

The fly, symbolic of resilience and protection, sits on top of a merlot-hued 7.45ct Garnet and is inlaid with three dainty Pearls; there is one on each wing and one on its body, alongside two cabochon Garnets for eyes! The pendant is topped off with a rope border for a flash of Gold, so this piece ticks all the boxes.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 23.5mm long including jump ring
Pendant itself is 17mm long x 14mm wide.
Garnet is 14mm long x 11mm wide, weighing approx. 7.45ct.
Pearls are 2.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 3.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (7.45ct), Pearls.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

状態

VERY GOOD: The 18ct Gold is bright with a completely smooth back, so she'll sit comfortably against the skin. The Garnet is divine with only some minor fleabites on her surface, and the fly is nestled snugly in the centre. The Pearls are all secure and the Garnet eyes are bursting with fruity colour. The jump ring is the perfect size, and can be easily threaded onto a chain of your choice!
