Morpho butterfly wing gives the centre of this Art Deco necklace its vivid colour, with fine natural lines visible across the rectangular panel. Delicate Silver flowers and curling scrolls frame it on either side.
The simple oval link chain lets the decorative centrepiece stand out, and the horizontal arrangement sits beautifully across the neckline. It is a lovely combination of bold blue and dainty floral detail, with a very different character when you turn it over to its plain Silver back.

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace measures 18" (45.5cm) long.
Central motif measures 12.5mm long x 40.5mm wide.
Chain links measure 3mm wide.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Morpho butterfly wing.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
