These magnificent early Iberian earrings from the 1700s are a true collector’s treasure. Crafted in Silver and set with vibrant foiled Citrines, they showcase the opulence and elegance of 18th-century jewellery. Their elongated silhouettes were designed to dazzle, catching the light beautifully with every movement.

The Citrines, ranging from 5mm to 13mm, glow with fiery orange and golden tones thanks to their original foiled backs. The intricate Silver settings are richly detailed, framing the gemstones with ornate repoussé and granulation work, creating a striking contrast between the cool metal and the warm sparkle of the stones.

Timeless and in outstanding condition for their age, these earrings are rare survivals from the 18th century and remain an extraordinary addition to any serious collection.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 90mm long.
Citrines range from 5mm to 13mm long.
Weight: 23g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, foiled Citrine.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: These earrings are in remarkable condition for their age. The Citrines are free from chips, scratches or abrasions, with their foiling intact and sparkling. The Silver settings are well-preserved with only light signs of age, and the earrings retain all of their original components. They have been very well cared for, and their condition makes them a true rarity for collectors.
