This handsome Edwardian Albert chain is crafted in solid Sterling Silver, dating to c.1900. Measuring 17.5" long, it features classic curb links with a mobile T-bar and a pair of matching dog-clips, making it ideal for wear as a necklace or as a traditional watch chain.

The chain is beautifully made, 39 grams! With every link stamped with the Lion Passant for Sterling Silver. Both dog-clips and the T-bar carry the maker’s mark “HB&S”, along with further hallmarks including a date letter “X” for the year. Substantial and stylish, this chain is a timeless antique that will remain versatile and wearable for years to come.

MEASUREMENTS: Chain is 17 & 1/2" or 44.5cm long.
Links are 5mm wide.
T-bar is 29mm long (including jump ring) x 36.5mm wide.
Dog-clips are 24mm long x 7.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 39g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver.

STAMPS: Lion Passant on every curb link. HB&S maker’s mark, Lion Passant and date letter “X” on dog-clips and T-bar.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The chain links are smooth and even, with hallmarks clear throughout. Both dog-clips function well and the T-bar is secure. Minimal surface wear is present, entirely consistent with age. Overall, this is a superb example of an Edwardian Albert chain.
