A beautiful 16" Antique silver niello chain, featuring the distinctive two-tone effect of dark grey and Silver created through the traditional niello technique. The fine detailing on each link reflects the refined craftsmanship of the late 19th to early 20th century, likely from Russia or France, where Niello saw a popular revival.

Finished with a large Silver bolt-ring clasp, this piece is not only secure but also functions as a charm holder, perfect for attaching a fob, pendant, or multiple charms. A versatile and elegant chain that works beautifully worn alone or layered with other pieces.

MEASUREMENTS: Chain is 16" or 40.5cm long.
Chain is 5.5mm wide.
Bolt ring is 19.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 15.2g

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Rose Gold plated Silver, Niello.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD: The links are robust and securley connected with only some wear in areas. One of the links has lost its Niello detailing, but this does not impact the overall appearcnace of the chain. The dog clip is in perfect working order, and although there is some stiffness to the bolt ring, although she does shut securely, so you can wear this sought-after chain with confidence!
