A broad oval Citrine glows honey-yellow within the richly decorated frame of this Victorian pendant. Its wide central facet is surrounded by smaller angled facets, creating a bright, changing border within the stone itself. Around it, curling leaves and little flower-like forms run continuously through the 9ct Gold surround, adding a finely textured contrast to the clear, glossy centre.

The generous tapered bail is deliberately plain beside that ornate edging, giving the eye a quiet interval above the stone. At the back, a broad, smooth Gold rim surrounds the open setting, revealing the faceted underside of the Citrine. The contrast between the elaborate front and uncomplicated reverse is one of the pendant's most appealing details.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 49mm long including jump ring.
Pendant measures 29.5mm wide.
Citrine measures 30.5mm long x 22mm wide, weighing approx. 36.08ct.
WEIGHT: 15.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Citrine (36.08ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The floral and scrolling details remain well defined around the front. There are small dents and surface marks on the plain Gold reverse. Fine pale surface marks are visible on the underside of the Citrine, while the broad facets on its face retain distinct outlines.
