Daisy-like flowers cover the elongated oval face of this vintage 9ct Gold Coral pendant, their rounded petals overlapping from one edge to the other. The natural, undyed Coral has a warm peach-orange hue, with brighter highlights following the raised petal outlines. Tiny dotted centres give each flower a little point of detail amid the closely gathered carving.

A slender bezel follows the oval contour, leaving the floral surface to take centre stage. The reverse is uncarved, showing the Coral’s colour and surface texture within the same simple frame.

ERA: Mid-Century Vintage.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 43mm long including jump ring.
Pendant measures 23mm wide.
Coral measures 35.5mm long x 21mm wide.
WEIGHT: 6.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Natural Undyed Coral.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The carved petals and dotted flower centres remain well defined. The plain reverse has visible pits and elongated indentations, which are part of the Coral's natural characteristics. The Gold is bright and buttery, and the bezel holds the Coral securely in place.
