Opulent and ornamental, this Victorian Silver whistle-form charm is richly adorned with deep, embossed floral and foliate scrolls across a domed upper, tapering to a smooth mouthpiece. The high-relief repoussé work catches the light beautifully, while natural patina settles in the recesses to emphasise every curl and petal. A substantial circular bail completes the silhouette, giving this piece an elegant, tactile presence.

Hallmarked for Birmingham and dated 1891, with maker’s mark GU and the Lion Passant, it blends decorative artistry with utilitarian charm. A striking accent with a distinctly Victorian flourish, it suspends from a robust jump ring for effortless wear.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The chased floral relief remains crisp with only light surface scratches and a few shallow dings to high points and the mouthpiece, commensurate with age. The bail and cap are secure, and the structure and jump ring are sound with no visible repairs. A pleasing patina enriches the detail and depth of the design.
